Our Mission

Picture
We are passionate about badminton and helping others in the sport to improve and to promote it. We aim to provide a friendly and professional program for players in the Glasgow area. Our goal is to help train all our players - from kids to adults - who are enthusiastic about the game and look to bring out the best in them and ultimately work with them to achieve their goals.
For each player sessions are planned accordingly to suit their standard of play and what they hope to achieve. Sessions are progressive to continue to challenge each individual as they grow. Not only do we work to improve their standard of play, we want to improve their technical ability, knowledge and respect for the game and fitness.

We want to;
  • deliver quality and efficiency within all our sessions
  • encourage all our young individuals to have fun and work hard to achieve
  • create a fun environment in which players can practice safely
  • give constructive criticism to help show players how to improve their performance and motivate them
  • make sure each individual continuously strives to be the best they can be

Background

Andrew Ironside
Started playing badminton at the age of 14 in the local leisure centre, only being taught basic grip change and learning from watching games online Persistent playing are key part in my growth as a player. Started my competitive career at St Mary's learning as i go, playing everyone regularly then playing junior tournaments. The desire to win and be better always helped me better myself and eventually breaking into the teams helped more finding myself faced with new challenges and learning curves! Slowly the national tournaments and coaching became a part of my season and the drive for success continues.
